This site is the gateway to the blogs about each of the units students take at Long Road for their courses and to the work produced, displayed on youtube.

You will see Kids' TV programme titles sequences and film thriller openings produced for AS Media, music videos for A2 Media and four minute films for A2 Film Studies. All work is shot on mini-DV and edited in iMovie or Final Cut Express on iMacs or eMacs. There are also examples of non-assessed work from both courses.

There are over 600 students taking courses here at any time- if you want to find out more about current or future courses click here. The site is not just a showcase for Long Road student work, however; it is designed to involve the viewer too as the program which houses the videos, iCritique, designed by Stephen O'Hear, encourages you to comment on the videos to give feedback to the students who made them, which will in turn help their written analyses and encourage them to improve their future projects. iCritique will shortly be replaced so that the interactivity can be linked with youtube.

We are also pleased to showcase the work of other centres - just e-mail us via the staff contacts page if you would like your videos on the site or have any other questions. The site also contains lots of resources for various units of A level Media and Film Studies which students and teachers are free to use.

A new feature of the site will be the forum, where you can contribute to existing threads or start new ones; this is open to everyone, not just Long road students, so please feel free to participate!
